Running a business is never easy. An understatement of the century when taking into account that all the work our
business undergoes is organised solely by a selective group of aspiring entrepreneurs, all still studying AS levels at
The Deepings School.
We are taking part in a government funded scheme called Young Enterprise. A sheme set up to give young adults the chance
to experience being part of a business first hand.
Our main aim is to change the way people think about certain things within society, and this can be discovered when looking
at our current plans for targeting children with healthy foods. Jamie Oliver recently started to highlight the errors in school
dinners, and we are taking this idea one step further.
We hope, as a company, to change the way children think and feel about healthy foods and show them that eating healthy
is not only good for you, but can be fun and enjoyable too by getting children of all ages to help their parents in the
kitchen. We hope to disprove childrens negative attitude to healthy eating and illustrate some of the 'yummy' foods
that are available to them.
As well as our main products we have seasonal products on offer throughout the year. With Christmas and Valentines day
under our belt it's time to turn our attention to Easter. And with our current initiative being healthy eating, we had an
unphill struggle on our hands. But to target children we got into themidset of children and went back to our roots by painting
some hard boiled eggs- What a revolutionary idea! Our current competition invovles guessing which teachers our eggs are
supposed to resemble. To view our current competition log on to the products section of our website.
From time-to-time we also like to get involved in charitable events: having raised money for Jeans for Genes and
Children in Need. Our most recent success was red nose day where some red-nosed youngsters came to our photo booth for some
red-nose keyrings- an impressive £50 was made in the 30 minutes our booth was open!! Alongside the occasional charitable events
we also plan to give a large percentage of any profit made this year to charity.
We urge you to have a look round the website and find out what were about, i assure you it is well worth your time.
Again feel free to contact us at any point regarding our business, products or prices. All feedback is welcome. Thank you.
